The River of Dreams has seen generation so fishermen return for the "May Madness" which still makes Fremont the "White Bass Capitol of the World."  The pristine waters of the Wolf River also boast a healthy walleye population, making for an exciting early spring run for anglers.  When the water temperature reaches that magic point, the White Bass turn into a frenzy that lasts four to six weeks depending on the conditions.  One would think that seeing literally thousands o fish taken daily that the numbers would diminish, but they come back in the fall and again each spring with equal activity.

Early summer offers bass enthusiasts excellent river structure, calm back water and sloughs for large and smallmouth species.  The fishing never ends as channel catfish and flatheads lurk in the deep holes by day and feed in the shallows by night.  Perch, Bluegill and Northern Pike round out the colorful palette of species active in the summer months.

White Bass and Walleye again entice the weather-hearty anglers for a fall run with an added bonus of an ever increasing Crappie population.  Fremont and the Wolf River are truly all season hot spots as the many bayous and lakes offer excellent panfish, Northern and Walleye for the ice fishing fans.
